Annual Theme

Humanising digital education

In today's world, digital literacy and skills are crucial for success, but they must be developed in harmony with the human connection that is often lost in the digital landscape. While technology and digital advancements have revolutionized education, they have also created an impersonal and dehumanizing learning experience. With the emergence of language models like ChatGPT and the ever-expanding reach of artificial intelligence, the potential for dehumanization in education is greater than ever before.

To address this important issue, the upcoming Digital Education Hackathon 2023 proposes the following "Humanising Digital Education" as annual theme.

Putting humans at the core of digital education means creating a personalized and meaningful experience for learners. It's about establishing a "human connection" that fosters a sense of care, belonging, supportiveness, and recognition, in a context where technology plays an increasingly prominent role in the learning process.

Join us as we work towards a revolution in digital education, and unlock endless possibilities for growth and success.
